Here at Glaston-Bury HQ, we are a fundraising event and this means that the bands, poets, comedians, dancers and anyone who performs a set on one of our many stages are offering their support for Bury Hospice instead of being paid a fee. All the venues who host a stage and anyone who makes money from selling food or drink on the day donates a percentage of their takings too and the event is completely run and staffed by Volunteers. The organisers do not make any money out of the day.
We completely understand that you won't want to perform for us if you don't feel this to be a worthy cause but we wanted to be up front about it! Sets are approximately 45 minutes in length and backline is provided alongside the services of our trusty sound and lighting crews. The day itself is quite literally a Bury town centre takeover and thousands of people will be in attendance. In 2023, we hosted 20 stages and 200 artists so we really do offer our visitors and performers an amazing day. All the photos, videos and reviews we receive from our media friends will be posted on our social media pages and will be freely available for the bands to download and use as long as no watermarks are removed! POLITE NOTICE: PERFORMERS ARE ENTITLED TO FREE ACCESS TO THE WHOLE FESTIVAL BUT DUE TO THE EXTREMELY DETRIMENTAL EFFECT THAT IT WOULD HAVE ON OUR FINAL DONATION TOTAL, WE CANNOT EXTEND FREE PASSES TO MANAGERS, PARTNERS, ROADIES, FRIENDS OR FAMILY MEMBERS. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY TO PERFORM IF THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE TO YOU.
